Site Reliability Engineer
Who we are.
Spot AI turns cameras into coworkers.
We are building the category of AI coworkers for the physical world. Our platform enables businesses to understand, automate, and act across their environments in real time.
Spot AI is relied on at over 10,000 locations by more than 1,000 customers across manufacturing, construction, logistics, and retail.
Backed by over $110 million from investors including Scale, Redpoint, Qualcomm Ventures, StepStone, and Bessemer, we are building the system that brings AI out of the digital world and into the real one.
We move fast, take ownership, and focus on outcomes. We are building a company for people who want to solve real problems and have a direct impact on how businesses operate.

Who you are:
You’re a highly autonomous Site Reliability Engineer who thrives on building and operating resilient systems across both cloud and edge environments. You take end-to-end ownership - from architecture through production - and have a track record of shipping reliable, scalable infrastructure that supports high-throughput workloads, including systems capable of handling millions of hours of video.
You bring a pragmatic, builder mindset: you move quickly, prioritize using first principles, and consistently deliver production-grade systems. You collaborate effectively across teams, communicate clearly, and translate ambiguous requirements into durable, well-architected solutions.
Your experience includes:
5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
Strong experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters in GCP (preferred) or AWS/Azure
Experience building and automating infrastructure at scale across both cloud and edge environments
Strong Linux systems and backend engineering fundamentals
Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana
You might also have:
Experience with MLOps systems for automated training, testing, and deployment
What you’ll do:
Design, build, and operate highly reliable infrastructure across both cloud and edge environments
Own observability and site reliability systems, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters in Google Cloud (GCP preferred) and other cloud platforms as needed
Build and automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform and ArgoCD
Develop and maintain systems using Linux and modern backend technologies
Architect and operate distributed systems that handle large-scale, high-throughput workloads
Leverage cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) to optimize for performance, scalability, and cost
Implement and manage tooling across the stack, including Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana
Partner cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to design and deliver reliable systems
Prioritize and execute engineering work using first-principles thinking in a fast-paced environment
Quickly learn and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and developer velocity
What excites you:
A culture where hard work that drives great outcomes is expected, celebrated, and rewarded.
A place where you can make industry-wide impact and contribute to one of the most exciting technologies of our time.
Working and mutually learning from an extremely high caliber engineering team
Developing real-time, high availability video intelligence systems in cloud and sometimes on edge, with lots of ownership and opportunities to implement novel solutions
Delivering video intelligence infrastructure and tools in ways that are thoughtful about end user privacy, such as edge inference and federated training
Designing, owning and scaling end-to-end edge and cloud AI platforms
Operating with autonomy in a fast paced environment
Communicating directly with customers to better understand their use-cases for iterating on future product roadmap
